Hello, I’m Alison Hearn.
As a celebrant, I see it as an incredible honour
to stand with couples and families as they celebrate
life’s most meaningful events.
Inspired by the grace of the hummingbird,
I believe in savouring each moment,
embracing the beauty of human connection,
and creating ceremonies that honour
love, joy, and togetherness.

A Background Rooted in Care and Connection
My background in nursing and business taught me how to connect deeply with people and stay organised in even the most emotional moments - qualities that help me deliver ceremonies with warmth, care, and professionalism.
An International Journey Home
I’ve had the privilege of living and working around the world—from Australia and the UK to Holland— before settling back here in New Zealand with my three sons.
My career has been diverse, including nursing education, spanning over 20 years in aged care advocacy and seven years with the Ministry of Health in the disability field.
Through it all, one thing has remained constant: I’m here to listen, support, and connect with each person I serve.
A Ceremony Tailored Just for You
With each couple and family I work with, my goal is to ensure your ceremony feels authentic and beautiful.
From creating a light-hearted, joyful wedding service to honouring a loved one with an uplifting farewell, I’m dedicated to giving you a ceremony that’s true to who you are.

- Support and Encouragement: Many people worry that emotions might be overwhelming on the day. I’m here to guide you through writing and delivering vows or eulogies with helpful tips on managing those feelings so that you can focus on what truly matters.
- A Warm, Non-Judgmental Approach: My ceremonies are inclusive, kind, and focused entirely on your vision. I work off to the side, creating a space where you feel celebrated, never overshadowed.
